I was looking forward to make a swap in my EP3. I tought either a k20a2 or a k24a2... Does anybody know how it would cost me to buy the motor plus the labor. And what you guys think about maybe S/C, turbo or if i should go N/A?

how about a a2 head on the k24 block? Then sc or turbo and have massive power.

 

wow.... please search... you can't just ask us what you want to do. Everyone says should I turbo, supercharge or go N/A

How should we know? What are your power goals? What are you really looking to do? Do you want huge numbers? You want a freak? You want a safe daily driver? You want a lot of torque or a lot of RPM's.... Start searching buddy. I know it's hard work but it will help

 

I need a daily driver but i'd like to have beetween 250-300 WHP?

 

Buddy in my town has an a3 boosted with kpro and makes 300whp.

 

k24block and k20a2 head with new pistons will make 270bhp and 270trq
friend has it

 

people with the k20z3 and a supercharger are making around 250 whp. the supercharger seems pretty easy to install yourself and shouldn't give you any problems with the engine. that's my long term plan for my si.

 

Ya I think I am going to be going the same supercharging the A3 and when it lets go I will either to a K24 or a K20A2 not sure which one yet lol

Loved my K20A2 this year...Peakboost kit in bedroom waiting for install 400whp should be fun...but not daily driven

 

this the sorta build i am going after, but the thought of supercharging or N/A is a big question. But I know one things for sure, k20/k24 frank is the way to go.

I know I’m pretty late to this but how long did this last lol? I’m looking to buy an EP3 in the next three months and am planning on getting a high mileage one and swapping in a low mileage a3 in it. I want to turbo it but still have a good reliable daily for college. I’m not sure if I can just slap a turbo kit on it or if there are steps I should take even for low boost like headgasket and studs? I know obviously the basics besides the kit like fuel and ecu management upgrades but any info on how this a3 was done would help.
