Try doing a search. Nobody will help you all that much cuase that is a newbie question. I know, cause nobody helped me. You need to try a search.

I will try a little though, I don't even know what car you drive so a swap could be benificial.

Boost in either form can both be good for street depending on what kind you get, Turbo's always make more power but require more mantence.

Bro it all depends on what you want out of your. Do you drag race?Do you auto-x? If you want something that has some good potential and alot of power go the turbo root. If you want something with a instant powerband then go jrsc. Do not and I repeat do not go vortech. Powerbands sucks and a turbo has more potential.

That is true in a sense but I've seen lots of Turbo engine blow up. Melts rings.. blah blah, you have too, everybody has.. How many major probs have been associated with VOrtech??? Only thing I have ever heard is... a belt slips... big deal, just tighten it, or get a new one if it breaks. Couple of bucks, and if it slips, itll be like driving a stock car utnil you put it back on.

What I am saying. I've never heard of one BIG problems with the Vortech. It is a very realible kit. But like ALL superchargers, the belt slips. It is a great kit, and power.. yeah, it lags, yeah, turbo has more potential, but turbos have more problems as well.

So what you're saying is, boost from a Vortech must be less harmful to a motor than boost from a turbo?

boost in any way shape or form wil blow your car up just as fast as any of them...

It's just a question of how you would like your blown motor served up to you..

I much rather like having a blown motor from a turbo.. it's sounds so much more manly than a supercharger....

power is power, jsut have to decide where you want that power applied....

supercharger down low, turbocharger up higher in the rpms....

Hard for me to say, I don't have a Vortech. But I know their kit is VERY VERY complete. Comes with all piping, supercharger (of course) Fuel system upgrade and everything. It took them a good 2 years to design that kit. Vortech has been around for about...what?? 40 years now? They know what they are doing.

My beef with it is.. yeah.. a turbo DOES have more potential. But the vortech is less hassle, and is still a great kit.

It's not the boost that is less harmful, Vortech adds gobs on power up top, like... .. well, a lot okay, I dunno. But it's just thier kit comes with EVERYTHING you need to make the car accept the extra power. Great kit, I don't know why people bash it... I understand that lag.. .****, I have a turbo, no installed yet, but I almost got a Vortech becuase of it QUALity of the kit. It's just really nicely put together.

well, that's my opinion anyway.
