do i need the oil catch under my hood?

hey doing a wire tuck and wanted to know do i have to have the oil catch under there?

why would you put it anywhere else?

if you had it out of the bay then the amount of piping to get to it would defeat the purpose of trying to 'tuck' the wires.

huh? all the wires are done brake lines are next they are going under my dash and want to see if i could run the motor with out the oil catch?

you want to keep it, especially if you're going to track it at all.

Track officials don't really like cars that leak oil.
