Default My car is all over the road now.

Before one of my bolts on the spindle came out and tire fell off middle of the road doing 30mph my car drove better then my moms 07 chevy malibu on the highway all the way to 115mph no shaking or pulling. now it moves and is all over the highway badly. i seen my driver side control arm has a lot of play now and if i jack my car up, the whole tire moves left to right. lots of play. how could i fix this? Would i have to replace the whole rack & pinion??? Thanks.

After the accident, did you replace your hub/bearing? Sounds like that for starters, followed by balljoints, tierods, suspension fork, and lower control arm.

What all have you replaced since this, or did you just put it all back together? I guarantee that something (most likely multiple somethings) were damaged by hitting the road at 30. I bent my lower control arm just by sliding into a curb at 5 mph.

I agree 100% that is #1 symptom of a ball joint getting ready to go.

yea, i just put it all back together with the little metel clips this time. and everything is good only my header downpipe got scrapped badly. the only thing with the suspension is the control arm has an inch of play. if i take it off the spindle it moves back and forth.
