Need Help Please
Hey guys new here and was referred by a friend, but have a question? I just bought a 98 honda prelude and its leaking water from somewhere.. the back seats are wet and the carpet in the back always gets wet. Everytime it rains it happens and since its wet moisture keeps buildings in the inside of the glass. Does anyone know what the problem might be cus its driving me crazy and it smells?! Please Help Thanks
Check around the rear window as well. The plastic panels come off easy. You'll see that a leak there would run right down beside the seats and to the floor. If that window has been replaced, someone might have done a halfa$$ job on it.
if you cannot find out where it is coming from check spare tire if you are leaking water there should be a puddle in there and there should be rubber seals in there pop those out to get the puddle to drain
what happen for some reason is that water gets into that area with the spare tire and when you drive i believe water sloshes and wets your back seats

I would suspect your sun roof drain tubes are plugged or have come off the sun roof assembly or the tubes have broken.
You will be able to see the connections when you take the plastic headliner off thats just in front of the rear window.
There are four sunroof drains one in each corner of the roof.

Hmmm - I had an old dodge truck that did that. The problem was not the windows but plugs under the carpet. In many cars, they are in the floor board or under the seats. I don't know if Honda does this or not, but many mfg's do.
But if the rear seats are getting wet - is it the seat part, the upright part, how far up? Given what you have checked, the only thing I can think of would be water getting into the trunk or spare tire area and sloshing forward during braking. (Like RKwan87 suggests)
Try removing the rear seats and going to the car wash.
