Default strange problem.. '97 Civic

I just took my B16B out, replaced it with a D16Z6 in my '97 coupe. Used PW:JDM jumper harnesses for both the distributor and ECU, used the OBD2 injectors (same as P28s, with OBD2 clips), and re-wired the alternator accordingly.
When I try to crank the car, it just turns over -- never starts. Checked spark, it's good. Checked all grounds -- they're good.

When I turn the car to "ON" the relay clicks once. The fuel pump does not prime. The CEL does not come on. When I turn the car back off, the relay clicks again.

I though it may be the fuel pump, replaced it with an operating one -- same problems.

Any clues?

changed main relay today, still same problem.

And now a new issue has arisen -- no power. For the past 2 days i've had plenty of battery power to try start the car. Today it died, so i try jumping it off -- still no power even with the other vehicle running and the jumper cables attached.

Thanks for any help!

try a obd2a ecu

and if that works then you need to look at the ecu jumper harness

It could just be coincidental that the battery might have just took a crap on you. Also, for not hearing the fuel pump priming, did you check the what I think is a 10A fuse under the dash for the fuel pump?

I've had similar problems but never was a fan of jumper harnesses. Make sure your Engine harness is cut free, and check the fuses it could be something as simple as a blown fuse for the fuel pump. Start with the simple things before you think dramatically. I did the mistake of fixing all the unnecessary things and it turned out that I needed an Engine harness and push the fuse for the fuel pump in. Stress can do that to you, but Good luck.
