Icon3 my climate control dont light up at night anyone know a fix?

ok, so im gonna lay it out as simple as possible

i drive a eg sedan 93 dx, i dont know if that makes a difference

but all my dash lights work, my dimmer switch works, the heat, and cold work on my climate control, even the lights too the little top buttons turn on

BUT!.....at night i cant see SQUAT!! cause idk the lights that turn on the background dont light up

could they be just burned out?? or is their an electrical problem(not really sure since the cc works and all)

help, and what size bulbs do i need to buy to replace

ty

Theres only 2 bulbs for the backlighting in the climate control and I have seen both bulbs burn out before. So thats my guess. Not sure what size the bulbs are though.

Have you checked your fuses before you go ripping your dash out?
I had my cluster fuse blow once
everything worked just no light
I would check a dollar fuse before I pulled my dash apart and swapped light bulbs
let us know when you check man
I know it can be a PITA

Check the fuse map. I think there is also a topic that is a DIY for amber lights in a USDM cluster ad climate control. He used LEDs and they looked real nice.

it's probably your bulbs. yes they are #74's and can be purchased at your local parts store. here's a good write-up for replacement. http://www.emotors.ca/Articles/116.aspx

I don't know if this will help, since you said your dash lights work, but on my '92 civic the dash lights and climate control lights wouldn't turn on with the headlights. Long story short, the dimmer switch had gone bad. Like I said, may not be your problem but I thought I'd put in my two cents.

I agree, it's probably the bulbs. If it were the dimmer switch, your entire dash wouldn't light up.
