hi...i just purchased my first honda civic today...i have had them in the family...i got a 1993 honda civic dx coupe and when i hit the sunroof controls nothing happens...i checked the fuse and nothing was blown...is this a common problem and is it real expensive or hard to fix yourself...thanks

 

well the switch could be bad or it could be the motor for the sunroof

 

do you know if there is a way to test the motor???

 

iv got an eg myself. the sunroofs are peices of ****. made of plastic. its probably off track. and unless you can take it apart yourself its going to cost a pretty penny/

 

well dose it make noise when u hit the switch

 

there is no noise or anything when i push the button just me making it click

Is the switch plugged into the harness?

DXes didn't come standard with moonroofs, so this is aftermarket. It wouldn't be a common problem on these cars since it's not original.

 

Could be the button, Fuze, Or even wireing. Start with the easiest and work your way up.
