Icon2 CRX low fuel bog ?

Hi ,
I have dropped the fuel tank recently on my 89 CRX Si to replace the filler hose and 2 way valve because of gas smell inside car . When reinstalling it , I was walking to the driver's side and hit my foot on the tool box causing me to drop the tank ! It hit almost completely flat , no dents or damage . I installed it and everything seemed fine , No smell !
But , when running at 1/4 tank or less , it will hesitate as if it lost all fuel when making an abrupt start or hard cornering.
My question is there a baffle or sump where the fuel pickup is that could have been damaged by the drop ?
Thanks for replies .

maybe you didnt orientate the fuel pump in the right position for the pick up to be a the lowest position.

could be totally unrelated to dropping it.

Sorry ! Didn't remove fuel pump from tank ...
Wondering if pickup was "shifted upward or a "baffle" was damaged somehow . Didn't look into tank except where the filler hose was ...
