i have a 88' crx with a DOHC ZC motor. and i have the ZC ECU. it was running fine and just all of a sudden it burned out my distributor. so i took it off. my friend let me borrow his and within 20 min. it burned that one also. at 1st u could still turn the car on and everything but after it got warm i could floor it full throttle cuz it would choke n turn off. but if i dont full throttle it it works fin.Now that it burned out the second dizzy it will just crank and not turn on. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR MIGHT HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT IT MIGHT BE LET ME KNOW...THANKS!!

 

do u have a good engine harness ground

 

wELL THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. MY STARTER WAS GOING TO ****. THE LAST TIME I USED THE CAR IT WOULDNT START CUASE OF THE STARTER SO I KINDA HIT THE STARTER ALIL AND WHILE I WAS DOING THAT I HIT THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE WIRES ON THE STARTER SO IT THRU A SPARK. AFTER THAT I TRIED TO TURN IT ON AND IT DID TURN ON SO DROVE IT HOME. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT STARTED TO SPUDDER. I CHECK THE CAR AND SPARK-PLUG WIRE WAS OF FROM THE DIZZY. SO I PUT IT BACK ON AND DROVE IT HOME BUT THE CAR DIDNT FEEL THE SAME AFTER THAT. I CHANGED THE STARTER. SO I ASKED MY FRIEND TO LET ME BORROW HIS DIZZY SINCE HE HAS THE SAME MOTOR. WE PUT IT ON AND IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY. DROVE IT FOR LIKE NOT EVEN 10 MIN. AND IT BURNED THAT DIZZY. SO I MEAN. I'VE HAD THAT MOTOR AND THAT DIZZY FOR LIKE A YR. AND NUTHIN LIKE THAT HAD HAPPENED.
SO I DO HAVE AND OKAY ENGINE HARNESS IF ITS THE 1ST TIME THIS EVER HAPPENED TO IT.

 

did u put the ground from the starter back in the same spot???

 

Yea i did...im just afraid of putting on a new dizzy and have that one frying out on me.. Could it b that the ecu might b no good anymore. Its a pm7. But its like the 2nd zc motor on that same car and its the 1st time this **** ever happened to it.
