What year, body style (sedan/coupe/hatch), and version (EX/DX/Si/etc) is your Civic? And does it still have the original factory wheels? If not, what size are the wheels?

Okay, so you have 15" wheels. Your stock tire size is 195/55-15 and you can use either that or 205/50-15.

There's sticky, and then there's sticky. Basically, there are two kinds of summer tires you can get for your car. One kind is super sticky on dry pavement, designed for people who want to zip around corners with great traction, and also for people who sometimes use their cars in autocross or on the racetrack; downsides are that they aren't the very best in rain, they are sometimes noisy, and (the biggest one) they don't last all that long, maybe 10-15K miles. The second kind is more of a daily driver tire, designed for people who want tires that still stick reasonably well (although not as well as the super sticky tires) but also grip well in rain, are quieter, and last a lot longer, maybe 25-40K miles.

If you want a super sticky tire, get the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in 195/55-15, $87/tire at the Tire Rack.

If you want a daily driver tire, get the Yokohama S.drive in 195/55-15, $71/tire at the Tire Rack.

The Azenis, which is a super sticky tire but not as sticky as the Dunlop Star Spec, is a poor choice if you're on a budget. Because it only lasts 10-12K miles, you will be buying them 2-3 times as often as a tire like the S.drive. And if you aren't on a budget, the Star Spec is about the same price but is stickier.
