Default FULL RACE KIT?

i been needing to be boost for the longest time and i was just looking around for a turbo kits. so i came upon this turbo kit on ebay. Yes i know ebay turbo kits are **** but i have seen a couple of cars make some good power out of them. this one heres in about $900 shipped. just wanted to see what you guys think about it. im sure you will make power but how good is the quality(turbo, manifold), is it worth $900, has anyone seen a turbo kit like this before? will let me know. i'm pretty sure that i'm not going to buy it but it is very expensive to piece or buy a turbo kit with top of the line parts. so her she is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acura...Q5fAccessories

first of all, thats not a full race kit. That kit doesn't even come close to the quality of a full race kit.. That is ssac ssautocrap or whatever you wanna clal it. In general, its another fake ching chong meow turbo kit. I've heard of people using it and making good power; some of them even getting their moneys worth while others are not so lucky. These turbo kits are a hit and miss. My friend has bought one of these and the turbo lasted like 1.5years worht of daily driving. He got his money worth IMO, but i've also heard that these kits are a no no becuase of their reliability.

General rule of thumb is to stay away.

Your sig makes me assume that you have a "fully built" 2.0 b18c1. If this is correct, you should know better than spending 900 on a turbo kit. If you really do have what you claim, then you should be buying a real full race kit instead of wasting your money on these kind of junk kits.

its not a full race kit and everyone has different budgets and honestly if you're on a lower budget its not a bad kit. one of my friends had the same exact kit on my b20 ek for over a year and never had a problem with it and put down 300 hp on 16 psi

the manifold never cracked, the turbo held up and never had a problem with the wastegate or bov leaking.

Default Full-Race turbo kit & built 2.0 lsvtec

If you want a real Full Race kit I have a complete Full Race kit that is slightly used that I am going to try to post today. It comes with a Precision SC61 capable of 650hp on ur setup if you built it right. I have tons of pics. Everything is in like new condition there are less than 2 miles on this motor & Turbo. The motor & turbo have only seen start up time & never over 3k rpm. It is all still on the car & starts & runs now. I can take a video on my phone & send it to you if you would like. I am getting ready to part out the whole motor unless someone gives me a good offer for everything. It is a fully built 2.0 LS Vtec with no expenses spared, about 15-20k in motor. It has been done & sitting in my car for a long time just waiting to be tuned. God has just changed my heart & it doesnt matter to me anymore. The turbo kit comes with everything...Full-Race equal length manifold, Tial 44mm WG, Full-Race back door intercooler, Tial 50mm BOV, Full-Race intercooler piping for an EG but fit my crx just fine also, Precision SC6152S Turbo with Full-Race true 3" DP 4 bolt flange, cut out, all couplers, t-bolt clamps, oil lines & fittings, Full-race license plate frame, etc. Still have the original box & warranty card for turbo! I will be parting out the whole motor, S300, etc. prices are as follows;
Full-Race B series turbo kit w/o turbo $1800
Precision SC6152S turbo $700
P28 with Hondata S300 installed $600
Polished JG Edelbrock intake manifold $250
RC 1000cc injectors $250
00 civic SI Head with awesome port job, 3 angle valve job, titanium retainers, dual valve springs, GSR cams, adjustable cam gears, etc $700
B18A1 block with type r girdle & Golden Eagle Godzilla sleeves & ARP main studs 84.5mm $700
B18A1 crank slight knife edge by Import Builders, polished, rebalanced $200
Import Builders I-beam rods & Wiseco 84.5mm 9.1 pistons w wristpins $450
S-1 cable tranny with the front of the casing polished, no grinds $400
OBX 5 quart aluminum oil pan with 2 oil bung plugs & oil pickup $150
CRX B series shift linkage $75
Hasport aluminum B series mounts for CRX $200
Type R oil pump $75
Type R water pump $50
ARP head bolts $75
90-93 Integra B series axels $75 for the pair
AC autotechnic polished/carbon fiber high flow rail $75
I have limited internet access so please call or text me with any questions or to buy...

And you joined in '04? Sad.

OP - Wait for a little while longer and save up some more. Full-Race isn't the only turbo company out there. While you're saving up, do some research.

I know the guy who does NSR tech. and I can stand for his quality work. he has a really nice B series top mount right now trying to sell if for a mere $700 and two D series logs for 200 a piece. all his stuff comes with a lifetime warranty to the original owner. I have a ram of his on my car. on my stock b16 I made 288 wheel at 8 pounds. very happy with his work, and tuning is very reasonably priced too. email me if you want his number audi.trevor@gmail.com

The wastegate position really bothers me on this ebay manifold. It's too freaking long usually that causes problems so I'm very surprised.

Also what is holding up the turbo by the tranny?? I don't see any brackets do you??

One other thing isn't 300hp on a B20 at 16psi with a T4 turbo kind of low??
