i was installing my turbo kit on my car and in the past i always use the vacuum line from either the brake line or some existing line. my charge pipes i bought has a nipple attached to it close to the TB so i was wondering can i jus use that for my wastegate or would i have to go off of the IM? also can i T that for boost gauge and wastegate or just use it for wastegate.

Btw setup is a pieced together greddy kit planning to run about 8 psi on stock LS.

 

Is there a nipple on your turbo for a vaccum line? I would use that if you could. If not, i dont see why you shouldnt use the nipple on the charge piping. Its best to give the wastegate a boost only source.

 

naw there isnt an nipple on the turbo.. only the one thats tapped into the charge pipe.. so i should only use it on the wastegate and use my boost gauge somewhere else? since i would want vacuum and boost on that gauge.

 

I personally prefer to get any vacuum source at some point around the TB or the IM in general rather than the turbo it self as pressure rearding will be slightly different. Get a vacuum manifold and then you can tap all your vacuum lines to the same source you're using.
