I was changing out the plugs and seen a little oil on spark plug hole number 4. 4-3-2-1 right? Do I need a new valve cover? This motor was just bought from H motors. Site search hasnt been working.

check the spark plug tube seals, they are little 0 shaped seals on the bottom of the valve cover.

 

thats not a valve stem seal on the bottom of the valve cover. A valve stem seal is exactly where it sounds like it is, at the valve stem. Spark plug tube seals usually will fill the tube up and cause a misfire

 

I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that...Was still thinking about another thread I read right before this one. sorry about the confusion.

change your valve cover gasket and spark plug grommets in the valve cover

is the oil on the spark plug electrode end or on the porsline(white end)?
if it's the white end...do the above
