Default cylinder #3 not firing,help needed(91 Civic)

its a d15b2 with 199k on it,burns oil and whatnot,anyways
coming home from work the other day it started loosing power.
got home, sounds like a WRX,i changed the plugs, that didnt help, tried swapping wires with new ones, that didnt help,i checked for spark, its getting spark at that cylinder, but it doesnt seem to be getting fuel.
are there 4 injectors on these honda fuel injection systems?
forgive me im an older vw fan,and im used to bosch CIS,not this stuff.
im also thinking of doing a compression test to see if i have a burned or bent valve.

any thoughts, idea's,id like to hear em.

On your intake manifold if it says dual point you have 2 injectors, if it says multi point you have 4.
when you say it burns oil. does that mean smoke is coming out of the exhaust or that you constantly have to keep putting more oil to keep it level?

then I don't see how one cylinder could not be getting fuel when the rest are.

how can you tell it's not getting fuel on #3?

ok with it running, pull the wires,1,2 make a difference,3 doesnt,4 makes a difference,i took a spare spark plug put it in #3 and checked for spark against the valve cover, sparks fine there.
swapped new spark plugs in,and wires, still nothing, its still only running on 3 cylinders.

Ok. How are you determining that #3 isn't getting fuel?

have you checked the distributor cap to see if the rotor is still making contact on all 4 positions?

It's POSSIBLE that it's the distributor, like he said. It's either that or an impossible situation. Assuming you really changed ALL the plugs and wires with brand new ones.

change you cap and rotor, that might help.

normally i would just convert to mpfi, slight gain in hp.

wow...a lot of people don't read. He is getting spark on all four cylinders. You have a throttle body injection. So if you weren't getting fuel on #3 you wouldn't be getting fuel to any. Burnt valves are pretty common. I have changed a lot for them for people over the years. Get out your compression tester and measure all four cylinders to compare your results. The specific PSI doesn't matter as much as making sure all the cylinders have even compression. A burnt / bent valve will not seal and you will have low compression on that cylinder.

Do not bother with the distributor cap or rotor. you already tested for spark so you know that if you have spark at the plug then the cap is sending voltage down the line.

good luck
