Default Black color with Red flakes.

I am going to be repainting my car soon. I wanted to keep the car inline with the black and red. So i was wondering if there is a Black paint with red flakes in it. If so id like to know the color code and if there is a picture or link to the pic it would be greatly apprecated. Thanks.

i'm not sure if their is a specific black color code with red flakes on it but you can always add them as a "pearl" color to the clearcoat.

Talk to the paint shop that is going to paint your car. If they have half a notion of how to mix paint you should be able to tell them exactly what you want and it can be mixed.

Because at a car show, you don't look at engine oil. You look at paint. It's obviously more important to impress other people than anything else.

BTW, I have no clue what you're talking about. I just don't like the black paint with red flake idea. So I figured I'd lash out.

I had a 90 Civic Si that had black with red flakes in it. I think it was called Flint Black. It was the OEM paint.Really looked good in the sun but it might be hard to see under the lights of a car show.

I had a 89 civic that was that weird black with flakes in it. I don't like flakes in my black. I just like to look at the abyss.

But since the OP wants to...why the F don't you just ask the paint shop?

Or just paint it flint black. Tell everyone it's a 89 civic.

Wow, "B serious" you need to chill out dude. OP I think the best thing you can do is just do a red pearl over a black base coat (a tri-coat: base coat, mid-coat, clear). Do not put pearl in your clear, and Flint black might have a teeny tiny speck of red in it but there is no way you would notice it if you didn't know it was there.

Well i got the oil issue figured out. SO there is nothing to worry about. I wanted to know if there was a OEM paint code with red flakes in it thats all. Didnt have to be a stock Honda color it could of came from any car. Either way. Thanks for the input. I guess ill have to make it a custom thing.

Another thing you could do is go to a local paint store (PPG, DuPont, whatever) and ask to look in a paint chip book or if there is a color they can recommend.

I never thought Flint Black Metallic had red flakes, but I guess that's a matter of opinion.

OP, this is the forum you're looking for: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-acura-28/
