im gettin ready to put a y8 head on my y7 motor. which would be the best ecu to use? p28?

if your not an emissions testing state then yup!! if so then a p2p will do...

P28 is for an OBD-I motor. Without modding the ECU the best ECU you can get is the Y8's P2P ECU.

If you wanna do things right (and I've only seen one person do this so far), get an OBD-I ECU, chip it, get an OBD-IIx to OBD-I conversion harness so it'll install, and then tune it. You'll get optimal performance that way.

Though to a lot of people believe that's a lot of unnecessary, extra work, so you may just want to stick with the P2P.
