Default Need advice on my f22 build/swap into my eg

Hey all I'm new to this forum, I was mostly on nwstreetracing.com before and don't get me wrong I liked it a lot but this place seems a tad more professional and geared towards rather than trend and style.... But that is neither here nor there.

I'm starting my first engine build and swap. The chasis is a 93 cx and the motor is an F22A1 I got for free.

I've done TONS and tons of reading figuring out what it will take to do the swap and all the parts I need to peplace in order to boost. What I am unsure on is what degree of performance I truely want or need in this motor to reach my power goals and still be a (relatively) reliable DD.

350-400 is my mean power goal. Its a given that the pistons, valve train and cams are being upgraded I just don't know brands or have the experience of multiple builds to know what brands and level of upgrade is right for me.

Also I've been looking into the JDM F22B DOHC head with a mild port/ polish as an alternative to totally reworking the stock A1 head, is that worth the 200 bucks or so?

If anyone has done a turbo F22 (with or without the DOHC head) please give some insight as to what you used, how much it cost and over all power increase.

Btw I made a similar post in the civic forum..... That's my bad. Wrong page :p

THANK YOU MUCHO

Yup, except a lot cheaper. the f22b is an h23
head internally from what I've heard.

Motor for free, head for 200.

dont swap the head

the single cam head flows really well. it would be a waste of $200. easiest way and cheapest way to reach your goals would be to run a dsm setup on a stock motor.

want more realiablity? put in some forged pistons and rods, maybe some bearings or something.
