Default swap idea

so i was just gonna run a fully built z6 in my ej1 but after hearing about the new k24block with k20 head putting down some serious power with not alot mods now how hard will this swap be in my ej please help

I was about to do this exact swap... Until I his a deer in my eg at 50mph. It's a good idea just depends on how deep your pockets are. It's not a cheap build and some things are hard to find.

Start by checking google for a parts list. That's honestly half the battle. Parts for that can add up and be harder to find.

between the ECU and tuning you could be looking at $1800+

i know k swap is usually around 4 grand i was even thinkin running the f20c with the k20 tranny but still thinkin about things just thinkin about things right now

idk how much a k-swap would cost you to get one running, but i know itll sure as hell cost more than 2k....and an f2k is gonna cost quite a bit more than the k

Agreed^

Figure your budget when I was looking I found a k24 motor for 600 from my local junkyard no trans. Only motor. Your looking at over 1500 on just motor mounts, wiring harness, shift linkage and ecu

Just saying man is this your first project car jw. Figure budget and how difficult the swap u want to do is. Do something simple first man. A k20/k24 isn't a walk in the park kind of swap. Do something that's in your budget and skill check the FAQ sticky. It will help u tons.

if u wana start building something small before getting into a K
go with a B-series.. either Ls/b20 then go fron there with a budget build.. lots of threads here with reliable builds for ls-v or b20 vtec

Yeah if this is your first swap go with something that is going to drop right in, plug and chug. K series will give you a lot of headaches if you don't know what your doing
