Default Looking for a muffler w/ 2.5" or 2.25"exhaust tips...

Ahh, trying to keep things as subtle as possible, so I want a muffler w/ tips that are only as wide as the exhaust piping (thinking of 2.25" custom mandrel bent piping w/ a universal muffler).

Now do they even make mufflers w/ exhaust tips like that? I also want to keep the noise low and non-farting as possible as well, dont care about the noise.

Any brands? Places to look?

Magnaflow or Dynomax. Add a resonator as well. It will sound much better.

You'll need to go custom. I would suggest a magnaflow and they make 3 inch tips. I have dual 3 inch tips on my Thermal which is made by Magnaflow.

I also have the magnaflow with a single 3" tip and it looks and sounds pretty good.

anyone using a magnaflow 2.5" or 2.25" inlet/outlet muffler or know how they sound?

Magnaflow has a nice variety for selections, not quite sure which is good. Would it be ideal to get the largest muffler possible (length/width wise of the muffler box, not the inlet/outlet pipes)? I'm looking for something quiet while light-moderate on the gas, and only loud when gunning it, sorta like the APEXi WS. any suggestions on the types they offer from
http://www.magnaflow.com/03cat-back/...nlesssteel.htm ?

Thats what I have. Sounds a little louder than stock, but still nothing that would wake the neighbors.

ES Oval Universal. Available in 2.25" and 2.5" sizes. Center or offset ins/outs.

I know it's not no Accord, but it's the muffler that matters.

What it sounds like on my car will probably have absolutely nothing to do with how it sounds on your car. I have a really small resonator, so it gets quite raspy when I hit VTEC (I do THAT for the kids ). A full sized resonator will keep this thing quiet and deep (as it is on the "low" cam in my car.)

Where exactly is the resonator installed in the exhaust system? I thought the muffler is supposed to be it or act like it when I purchase the thing???

If you take a look under your car, you'll see a smaller "pre-muffler" in the B-pipe. This is what I'm referring to as the resonator.

that raspy sound you speak of is not the resonator...it's actually the cat...chop it off and the raspiness is gone!

Mine wasn't raspy until I chopped off the cat.Now it's so damn loud.It used to have this beatiful deep tone and now it sounds like a damn fart can.
