Icon2 =( i crashed my eg yesterday

my sad story about my eg i just got about 2 months ago to make the story quick the guy 2 cars ahead of me was gonna run a yellow light wen i guess some where in his little mind decided not too he hits the brakes fkn hard so it makes the car ahead of me hit the brakes hard and wen i hit my brakes my tires locked then i slid all the way to the back of the car ahead of mee and baaammmmm there went my entire front end. so today i was removing the hood, pieces left of the bumper, fenders, headlights and corner lights and was thinking, do you think is it worth trying to fix it, sell it or just strip it apart?

ps: it happened on my g/f bday =(

Its hard to tell with the hood closed, I really can't tell if the core support is bent, but from what I can see it looks pretty fixable.

I wish my car was hit in the front like yours and not the quarter panel like mine. everything seems replace-able...so i think you should save up and replace the front end because if you think about it, will you get the value of your car back if you strip it apart and sell it peice by peice..

The lesson learned here is better brakes and tires...

o ya very repairable. just new hood, radiator support, bumper cover, foam impact bar.

my 96 looked alot worse but i got it pretty much cleaned up now... i just need paint really...

if you got alittle welder it will be no problem. hardest part is removing the old radiator support.... i used a air hammer to bust the welds, but a drill bit spot weld drill will work good also.
just spend the time to tweak the body panels to fit straight and youll be fine...

What is wrong with his brakes? They seemed to have done their job. I would say he needs to pay more attention and not follow so closely, and perhaps look into new tires.

ill say fixable bent or no bent. if bar is bent and you don't want to replace it because of money issue just use a truck and pull that bitch up. fenders, hood, lights and bumper is cheap. most expensive will be the lights.

if the frames bent say bye bye
there no reason to fix it after that its gonna cost a lot to put a frame rail in.
just part it and buy a new car.
i know it sucks i did the same thing in my ek coupe about a year ago. if you do fix it take it from me.. DO NOT BUY AN EBAY CORE SUPPORT!!! i had to buy 3 different ones b4 i found one that worked and its still not totaly staight.

if only the rad. support is bent, you can still fix it. Go to your local junk yards and find a good rad. support...buy the whole thing(usually they already chop that so you can buy it), tap/drill out your old support, line up your new one or you can use screws to hold it in, put hood, lights, etc. on to see how you like it, take it back all off, and weld suppt. in place through where you tap/drill. That's how I did mine when I also bumped into some lady's car cause of the yellow light dilemma.

you can get a cf hood instead of a oem one, fix the frame, and buy the fenders, front bumper, etc from junkyard/craigslist. i seen HELLA EG spare parts on craigslist for cheap.... good luck though! dont give up on it!

You need to find out if the core support is bent??? I got my hatch from a friend who crashes the diverside headlight, it bent the core support and bumper support. I had the core support cut from the car and had a friend weld another core support in place, then it took forever at junkyards to find a bumper support that wasnt bent and put that on and now ill I need is a paint job.
