yes ls swaps are very common in 96-00 civics ( got 1 in mine ) and so is the auto to 5speeed swap. check out this link for some more info... https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/engine-swap-info-faqs-how-ck-engine-lights-878010/
more importantly, check this thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/%5Bfaq%5D-96-00-auto-manual-swap-full-detail-44pics-1337459/
it really helped me get thru my auto-5speed conversion..... good luck!

You can stay OBD2, you will have to use an OBD2A LS ECU and conversion harness, the OBD2B integra ECUs all have immobilizers in them. OBD1 is really only better in that you can chip and tune an OBD2 ECU, stock theres not really any difference in performance.

get an obd2b ls ecu. obd2a and obd2b have different plugs for the ecu. obd2a is from the 96-98 civic while obd2b is from the 99-00. Since you have an obd2b car, the 96 (obd2a) ecu will not plug in directly to your car. you have ttwo options
trade the ecu
or
buy a conversion harness.

There quite honestly isn't one, unless you can find someone capable of removing the immobilizer in an OBD2B LS ECU. All OBD2B Integra ECUs have an immobilizer, in other words the ones that plug into your harness.
