Default f22b with p28?

i am planning on doing an f22b swap into my eg. I have a p28 that im gonna send to phearable to get chipped for the swap. i have been doing some research and found out that in order for this to work right i will have to swap pins a6 and a11.
on some of the threads that i have read some people have ran them without swapping and others say you have too. Thats where it confuses me.

my questions:

what exactly do they mean by swapping pins? Do they mean switching them around?

if i send it to get chipped with an f22b basemap will i still have to swap pins?

If i dont swap pins will the car run like crap?

any input is appreciated

I'm not familiar with this swap at all, but I can tell you that swapping pins is simply pulling specific wires from the ecu plugs and switching them to a different position. In this case, you pull A6 (6th pin on the A connector), pull a11(the 11th pin on the A connector) and switch them.

thanks for the replies guys it really helped. After doing more searching i have found out that in an accord you do have to switch the pins. My eg is a vx with a p28. I still dont get why you would have to switch the pins on a civic. It does have egr and i know that for the o2 i have to convert to 4 wire.

would i be able to run my p28 without changing around wires?

Use the civic harness like ash did and you won't have to swap any pins around
