Icon6 B16a3 block with 99 si head= barable swap?

hi, im new her. iv been thinking if you put a 99 b16a2 head with everything on it on to a older b16a3 block, would it be BARable if this set up in a 96 civic? to keep it obd2a?
im asking this question because i have a fully built b16a3 block sitting in a box and i want to see what my other options are to be able to legalize it in my ej8

It's more about the wire harness you are using. If the harness is from the 99-00 Si then the ecu you want is the P2T and it is OBD2b.

I'm not sure of the stupid rules out there, but since you have the B16a# block you should at least get the right ECU. Since the sol was OBD2 in 96 and 97 try and find that ECU and wiring harness, which would be OBD2a at that point.

As far as I know the a/b correspond to the plugs at the ECU, not in connection on the engine plugs.

Since you are going with the OEM pistons, I'd run the P2T ecu (OBD2b) or the 96-97 sol ECU (OBD2a) (not sure what the code is off hand). Those ecu's are tuned for the CR and motor.
