Default crankshaft question

im sendin my motor off soon to get bored and head work so my question is: has anyone got their crank knife-edged? i was wondering if it was worth the money. i know im for sure getting in micropolished but is knife-edging actually worth the extra money? any help will be appreciated. thanks

how much is the shop going to charge you to knife-edge the crank?

its worth it, its going to reduce rotational mass of your entire crank, and it will be less restrictive when "cutting through" the oil in your engine

what engine are we talking about?

me personally i would spend the 200 to something else like better cams which will give you more of a power gain then knife edgeing your crank. otherwise if your dead set on knife edging then you should also look at a dry sump setup to save even more horsepower

the engine is gonna be a b16 with port polish all valvetrain titanium ctr pistons and cams forged rods and some more things here and there
