Fuel Pump Question?
I have a 1990 Accord close to 170,000 miles and my fuel pump is about to take a sh** on me. I wanted to know how much a fuel pump goes for and should I go with OEM or aftermarket? Also, how hard is it to replace it in this car? Do I have to drop the gas tank or is it located right under the back seat panel like the newer Hondas? Or should I just take it to a mechanic? Thanks in Advanced.
Yes, on Accords, you have to drop the fuel tank.
I recommend a Walbro fuel pump as a reliable, powerful fuel pump. Good prices at http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com.

You only need the inline if you have an FMU. The FMU is a boost dependant fuel regulator that raises fuel pressure when boosting. Stock pumps cant keep up with the extra pressure so an inline is necessary.
I use a 4:1 fmu and a intank walbro 255l/h high pressure with no inline.

Yep, I'm making a performance site dedicated solely to Accords, you can look at the previw layout here: http://accordinglydone.myip.org/
Its under installs. Better luck with your pump install than you had with navigating the site. Here's a shortcut just to make it easier.
