I'm about ready to cry over my B18C swap...
Okay everyone... Here's the deal... I'm SO DAMN close to doing my swap, yet I'm SO DAMN far, I wanna cry. I'm putting the B18C into my '98 Civic EX, and I've got 98% of the parts necessary. Here's my dilemma: (and sorry if this goes long):
The motor is a '94, which of course is OBD1. The shop who will be doing my swap suggested that I buy a '99 SI engine harness and the Skunk2 OBD converter harness. This advice came after people had told me that the swap can be done with the GSR harness, but with alot of splicing. The shop says the SI harness and the Skunk2 converter will make things easier, with minimal splicing. I don't understand how that can be, if the motor is a 94 JDM Spec, and I'm using a newer harness.
Today, I was talking with the guy I bought the engine from, and he says that all of my problems can be solved with the use of a '96 Civic EX engine harness and a "jumper". This totally blew my mind, as I would have never thought that...
So, here I sit, with a B18C waiting to go in, and I can't drive the car now because of a spun lower rod bearing. Not a fun situation when I work 20 miles from home and I've gotta beg for rides and stuff....
So basically, I'm asking for any help whatsoever, so I can sit down with my shop and discuss this. PLEASE HELP!

99 SI harness wont work.
Use your stock harness, and modify accordingly. You only have to add like 4 wires.
You must use an adapter harness for the obd1 conversion.
Tell that shop to shove it and to quit trying to waste your money.
Sprayincvc@aol.com(Rich) double-checked my harness after I followed Hybrid Hondas instructions(which are wrong) for $70. So strip your harness, and send it to
Rich to have the wiring done. Then you give everything to the shop and you are set...good luck!

So what if I don't have the cash to buy the OBD2 stuff? I can use my EX harness, but I'll need to splice the OBD1 plugs onto it, right? And I plan on using the '94 GSR ECU, so I'll need the converter, correct?

I don't think I really have a choice at this point... I need to get this engine in ASAP, because I spun a bearing in my SOHC, so I've been walking for the past 2 weeks... I don't like walking.
So looks like I'll be splicing.

Here's another question, along the same lines... I just got my DC Sports 4-2-1 Header yesterday, and there is nowhere for the o2 sensor to go into... However, on the exhaust manifold that came of the J-Spec B18C, there are 2 o2 sensors right next to each other... Any ideas? Can I run only one o2 sensor, that one being the one after the cat? I'm confused here...
Just use an adapter harness and an OBD1 ECU. Easy as a $20 hooker.
PS. You do know that swapping an older engine into a newer car is illegal in some states? I don't know about NY but you should check.
