How did you go about building your b20?
Everyone says that the b20b swap into a ek is a good and cheap swap but for me it seems that is its right up there with the b16 swap and only 500 cheaper then a full b18c swap. I like the idea of a b20 in my 96 cx but after sourcing all the parts its like 2500-2700 because its so hard to find either a b16 or b18c tranny. I wouldn't want to use the ls tranny because from everything I've read the vtec tranny's are the way to go. So tell me how you guys put together your b20 swaps. Maybe you just outright bought a full b16 swap and then also bought the b20 but then that comes out to be more then a b18c. I'm confused and also polish.

WEll the first thing I bought is my B20Z longblock from a salvage yard. Now I'm buying all the smaller stuff that I'll need (flywheel, clutch, axles, mounts, etc)...I'm also looking for a GSR or B16 tranny...After everything, it'll probably cost as much as a b16 swap or more, but it'll be a lot better

yeah, i did a B16 swap and gotr it sorted nad tehn decided more torque was necessary so bought a B20B block.
i have pulled hte head and am putting hte VTEC one on,
im doing all the work myself, except for the dowels and oil gallery plug.
it is hard getting all the parts as i am in Australia.
sould be hell worth it though...

Use a 96-98 LS intake manifold, ECU..you can use the b20 fuel rail, any b-series clutch and flywheel, and 94+ Teg OR del Sol VTEC OR 99-00 Si Axles...

Is the ls intake mani design that different across the obd generations? I wanted to use my '96 b20 (low rise) intake mani with the swap in my '90 teg, but the mani just doesn't support all the vacuum requirments of the car. My '90 mani has probably 5-6 extra tubes and gizmo's to it (plus way smaller ports ).
