Default 97 LS Coolant problems

I had another thread before the change over, but I cannot find it. Mods, if you find it I will gladly post in there.

Car has 135k miles on it. Bone stock. I've was for a while getting random whiffs of coolant while I was driving the car. I tend to smell it after I have been driving it and stop for a light or a sign. I have searched the car everywhere for a leak and have come up empty handed. There is no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. I have changed both to be sure of this.

The temp gauge has been sitting right where it needs to be and does not fluctuate.

Today I smelled for the first time in a few weeks and checked the level. It was at the lower fill level so I have to be losing it somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Pertinent info:
Water pump, thermo, and heater core changed at 115k

Forgot to add. Also changed the rad cap a few weeks back.

I'm starting a new job soon and don't want to have this car keeping me from going on my first few days.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks man. I'm still stumped by this issue. I guess I'll just keep driving it until it gets worse

Please explain a little better. I don't fully understand where your talking about.

There are no visible leaks, but a crack somewhere is not out of the question.

Well I guess I'll keep this as a running log so I know when certain **** happens...

Check the level again today, and it's now got just a little bit lower than the full line. Last time I added was on 11/18/08 and I added to just above the full line.
