so i had everything ready, i just need the door harness.

i went to wire everything to its appropriate place
[the power window conversion is being done w/o the floor harness}
and well my driver window doesnt do anything the switch just makes
a small crying noise and goes away.

Also everytime i plug the switch to the harness the window regulator gets hot.
is that normal?

and finally will a 96-98 door harness be diff from a 99-00 door harness.

help!

 

Definitely not normal for the switch to make that noise or the regulator to get hot when the switch is plugged in. Sounds like a broken switch or somethings wired wrong, this happen on both sides?

I don't see why anything would be different between those to harnesses.

 

well i had i diff harness but my pup chewed up the plastic on it so i had to get rid of that one. that harness before only had the wiring for windows and speakers.
and when i went to go try it out it everything worked perfect.

but now with this new harness which comes with wiring for windows, door locks, speakers, side mirors and tweeters. . . nothing works. :[ so now im wondering if i was the harness.
