4.5 is too small, dont they make a 6"?

 

Depends on the state and the cop. Check first to see if it is DOT approved.

yeah, there's a website you can check, but i don't remember what it was. it was for cali though.

if i were you, i wouldn't get something so big...cops will notice it easier, and they will pull you over since it's illegal to modify the exhaust system. Just get a performance muffler with regular sized tips....they'll sound the same, but won't grab the cop's eyes. If you're going for show, and you won't be driving it around often, then you can do it (and change to your stock muffler for smog checks if it isn't legal)

i don't think the TIP "size" has anything to do with it, as long as it doesn't extrude from your rear bumper too much, and isn't too loud..
