i had to take off part of my automatic shift **** (the top part that is held on by 2 screws) to remove the console so i could install a new stereo on my 99 civic. when i went to put it back on i had to depress it all the way just to get the two screws in, which you w ould think would make it so i could change from park to drive or wahtever without having to press the button but its doing the opposite: i cant change gears at all. pls help i have work in the morning lol

 

crap cant find the edit button. cancel the part about it not being able to shift, forgot that the **** in civics cant change when the car isnt turned on. only problem now is when i have the handle screwed on it wont depress enough for me to get my keys out

 

nvm fixed it. did the angry drunk irish thing and beat it with a hammer...sadly it worked.

 

For future reference the Edit button is in the bottom right corner, and it says "Edit Post"
