if the idle does not change at all when you pull an injector plug then that cylinder does not work!!

bump i got the same problem car runs on 1 and 4 only ( the ones closet to the dizzy and the one closets to timming) the two in the middle are not doing anything. I pull the injectors connectors and they the car run the same. Pull the #1 or #4 and the car starts to stumble. I check the injectors for ohms, it was about 12-12.5 ohms on all four including the middle 2. Check the middle 2 connector's harness about 13 or so volts.

i am guessing the injectors are stuck and still allows fuel to get into the cylinder. But it is odd for 2 injectors to fail at once. Anybody got any input?

Have you done a compression test? Sounds like you could be running on 2 cylinders.

it does seems to be running on 2 cylinders, how will a compression test prove that its alright? what are the possible conditions that can be wrong if the compression is not right? Bad rings? bad seals? bad valves?

A BLOWN HEAD GASKET ohh nooo lol let me just end that. But regardless, i found the problem. The spark plug wires was swapped between 2 and 3 so the timing was off. So whenever number 2 was suppose to fire, number 3 was and vice versa and fuel was not shooting at the right time for combustion. In conclusion, check your spark plug wires for the right order. And do what i did earlier, Check the connector for voltage, then check the injectors for ticking by using a screw driver and listening to the injectors. if injectors and spark is good, then do a compression test.

depending on the engine, dseries usually burn holes in the valves, hence making a misfire or a dead cylinder..that or you have bottom end damage, bad plugs, or bad wires, but im puttin my money oon the valves having holes in them
