What are these 2 random pieces left over? [pics] Also, intake mani support bracket question...

Default What are these 2 random pieces left over? [pics] Also, intake mani support bracket question...

Ok, I bought this 97 SH off of my buddy with the motor in pieces. I have 2 parts left over that I'm have a hard time figuring out where they go. It a metal bracket of some sort and a small rubber seal. See the pics below.

Also, where exactly does the intake manifold support bracket bolt to? I know where it bolts to the underside of the IM, but I cant see anywhere the other end would go. I don't have the actual bracket yet [in the mail], so maybe once I see it, it'll make more sense.

Just leave the IM suppost braket off. It does little to nothing anyways. I had mine off on my H22A for the 2 years with no problem. Now my Euro R doesn't have it and it's fine.

The IM bracket creates less strain when you pull a motor from a car. Like latching hooks up to the IM and altenator bracket like Ive done a few times, it would really suck if it broke under the strain and smashed down on foot.

i think the rubber piece might go where the tranny meets the block to look at the flywheel markings

Its not that. I know that for sure as I already have that piece in.
