Default Intermittent throttle problem. 00 2dr dx 5spd

First off my car seems like its going to ****. might as well be a dsm. plenty of things going wrong so i might just have to get rid of it soon, but in the meantime its my gas saver dd to work and school. So i need it to work for another year or so. heres one of my major concerns. there are times, and its getting to be more and more often, that when i give it gas, nothing happens, literally nothing, no rev, no go, no cel. so i have to let off the gas and try again, and it works. or if i hold it down long enough it eventually kicks in with a pretty violent jerk as if i just dropped the clutch at 6k rpms. Ideas? could this be connected to a low idle problem? or save that for another post lol.

Try swapping out your MAP sensor and checking your TPS voltage.

TPS has 3 wires, you need to use a volt meter and probe the outer two wires (not the one in the middle) and you should read .5V and 4.5V at WOT.

Jeez... I haven't owned a Honda in over 5 years, i can't believe I still remember that.

LOL ok thanx a bunch man, i'll try tmro and post my numbers. I had an idea it mightve been tps. this is easier than just replacing the damn thing. they can get pricey for a stupid little sensor.
