valve timing oil pressure switch.
so i got my car back from the garage and they said that vtec isnt kicking on because of a valve timing oil pressure swich. where is this located on the block and how many are there? I need help fast thanks in advance
Awww Vig help him more than that! The vtec oil pressure switch is on the lower part of the vtec solenoid, which is under the rear, or intake, cam cap on the pass side of your engine. The JDM H22A engine did not use this switch, but the USDM cars did. I added it on my car, but its a 70+ dollar part brand new, just to let the ecu know you have proper oil pressure for vtec to engage. A vtec controller or ecu tune can change this anyways, so its only a big factor when running a stock USDM ecu.
is there any way you guys can give me a picture or diagram. the words help alot but im more of a visual person. thanks alot for the help
