Default battery isolator question

i have installed a battery isolator in my ej1 for racing regulations. But u made the stupid mistake of buying one that only cuts the power from the battery so when switched off the engine runs on. i wanna make this switch cut the engine off.
Would it be ok to run the earth from the pgm fi main relay to this switch there fore cutting power to the fuel pump and the distributor.

Put the "kill switch" on the negative side, or make sure the alternator is wired in to be killed also if you keep the POS side.

Don't put it on the ground side, thats not legal.

Do it right, get a double pole kill switch and wire the alternator thru that as well. There are plenty out there.

Or in a pinch, take both the battery lead and alternator lead off the distribution block in the underhood fuse block and wire them both thru the switch.

ok thanks i had it wired through the negative side. i guess i will do it right and buy a proper switch its called a 6 pole isolator switch. but the altenator is not wired through it. The distributor power wire is supposed to be wired through it.
