Default Summit racing fuel filters

I bought a summit racing SS fuel line kit that comes with a fuel filter. The fuel filter is pretty tiny and only has one small screen. I am a little hesitant to use it over the oem fuel filter. Does anybody have any information or input about the summit fuel filter. I would really appreciate it. I actually own both, i just don't know which one i should install.

hmmmm i guess, it's just sooooo much smaller than stock. I guess i'll just keep an eye on it and make sure it does not get to dirty to fast.

You also have a big filter on the fuel pump, so it should be fine.

is that what you tell the ladies too?

but yeah like hawkze said, theres already a prefilter screen at the fuel pump, so you should be fine. if that smaller filter gets to the point of plugging up, i think you have bigger problems, haha.

Okay, thanks guys for the quick responces. I'll install it and just keep an eye on it. I plan on pulling the fuel pump and dropping the gas thank next week so i'll clean everything when i do that as well to insure no old deposits.

prudz_lude, you should take some pics and put a write up if you're going to drop the tank and clean it, if it looks easy i think a lot of people will try

yah i am going to make a little write up on how to install this (even though its pretty straight forward) so i guess i'll just incoporate dropping the tank and installing the fuel pump at the same time. It will be like a fuel system overhaul the fuel tank is only held up by a couple bolts.

yeah, its only a couple bolts but is a bitch to manhandle around and there are a ton of little BS hoses to screw with, i can only recommend that when you reinstall it use the aid of a jack to put it in position, its a bear trying to get it in position by yourself
