Default LS-V question

im having this problem where vtec only cracks some times. like sometimes it will crack then the next i try to take it down 8.5 theres no vtec. and then it'll be like that for a while. and i have no check engine light either. so i was wondering could it be the dizzy?

No its not the distributor. Hows your oil level? When was the last time you changed it? Have you cleaned the screen on your vtec solinoid? What type of ecu/program are you running? What is your ls/v setup?

Did you use a gsr or b16 head? Do you have any mods/bolt ons? Did you use a golden eagle kit or similar? Is the s100 just straight from hondata no dyno time?

Well if you didn't use a golden eagle kit, what did you do for your oil line? Without the extra oil line there is pretty much no chance of vtec crossing over. It could also be how the ecu is programmed.

try and use another vtec ecu and go from there. process of elimination. check the screen on the vtec solenoid. how did you wire up the vtec solenoid?

if your vtec works SOMETIMES i dont think its a mechanical problem bc it still works. if your oil pressure is okay and your speedometer works youre fine. i would check the wiring to your ECU, make sure your connections are snug.
