ls vtec turbo, vtec not engaging, oil line question
before i go changing stuff i figured id post here for some feedback.
just got my setup running, about 40 miles on it.
b18b1 block, b16 head, 01 itr cams.
the oil feed for the head is tee'd off the oil pressure sensor, which i remote mounted on the firewall with a tiny fuel pressure gauge in the T so i can read oil psi from the engine bay, which is also T for the -4 turbo oil feed. the line that goes to the head is a -3AN line. the pressure is there but is my -3 line not supplying the volume of oil needed to engage vtec? it is wired and im running neptune which is set to activate it at 4800 and neptune is going in high cam so im down to oil and or solenoid issues, i doubled check the wiring for vtec and all is well.

pic of oil line setup
the one on top goes to the head, one on right goes to turbo, one on bottom is the feed.

u need to run a -6 line to the head... just get a golden eagle sandwich plate kit and call it a day... seen this plenty of times when people come to the dyno...

could it just be the size of the line? ive found a few people running it off the sensor T.

so i let the car warm up, and let it idle. i held it about 4k rpms and put direct 12v to the solenoid, i can hear it click but vtec still doesnt engage. this verifies that it is the oil correct? i ordered a -6an setup and sandwich plate for it.
is there any other reason vtec would not be engaging? i cant think of any haha.
