Default automatic Transmission problem,

I have a 1990 Accord; it goes hard into 2nd gear and sometimes jumps up 1000 rpms right before it goes into 3rd. It seems to change well when I change fluid but I did that 4 months ago.

Before you go off spending all sorts of money, try cleaning the Shift Solenoid Screens (6 and 8) located under the Shift Solenoids. They occasionally clog from debris and you get stuff like this.

The screens were clean, so it look like I need to replace the tranmission. It cant hurt to check; just remove the fan and clean the area. Make sure the area is clean before your put the Shift Solenoids back or it will leak.
