Default d16Y7 ecu in a Type R/ my swap wont start????

i did a swap, its a 97 civic cx with a 97 spec itr used everything that came with the complete swap from hmotors and my stock harness, wired iacv vtec and swapped out one other intake plu it turns over but wont start.

to see if my ecu was the problem could i try strarting it with my y7 ecu since its obd2a or will wreck something or not work???? any suggestions would be appreciated.

yes you can start it up with that ecu

but it sounds like the crank sensor is not hooked up

the injector wires are grounds so that wont do nothing

and what other wires did you cut besides the injector wires

put a drop of gas(just a little like a 1/8 of an oz) in the intake manifold and try to start it up

and are the spark plugs getting wet

i think its ckf sensor

tryed that and it started until it bunt the gas, so does that mean its a sensor. The first thing i thought of was the ckf but im almost positve i dont need to do the ckf, i dont think it apllies to my setup and it will run without it

did you change the injector plug?

if so check the yellow/black wire on the injector plugs to see if it have 12v when the key is on

did you try bypass trick yet? it wont hurt nothing to do it

try the other ecu first then if that dont work then switch injectors from the old motor and see if it starts up then when it starts up swap the ecu back in and have fun
