Default what bends did you guys use for custom dp's?

I plan to buy the appropriate 3 inch bends and cut them up myself then bring them to a muffler shop to be welded...which bends did you guys use to fabricate your own dowpipes? I was thinking 1 u bend and a 90 deg..heres a quick sketch so you can picture it(dont make fun of it ) the blue line is the dp flange red is part of the u bend and green is the 90 degree...will this work?? any other ideas? pics?

Yes, typically 1 90 degree and 1 180 degree will do you. You can get the 180 degree with the longer legs so you'll have some straight 3" pipe to work with in connecting your DP to your exhaust.

I actually managed with just one 2.5" U-bend, but it was a little out of alignment at the bottom so I had to give it an attitude adjustment with flex pipe. Worked just great though.

I just used 2 90's and flex. Just cut and reweld to get everything right.
