what circuit?? use a multi-meter...black goes to chassis ground or negative, red goes to your component or positive. make sure you are on 'volts DC.' if you are checking continuity, use resistance/OHMS and touch the leads together to make sure it works

 

ty pretty much checking all of them,sensors ,wires,any open circuits,etc. trying a swap and no fire . car (OBD2)previously had jrsc and wired OBD1 w/out swap harness....ewww. putting jdm b18c in OBD2 motor.
