jdm p13 on usdm h22a1 redline 6500?
i juss changed the ecu from a p14 to a p13 so i havent had vtec for a long time but when i put it on it poped vtec ..but it redlines at 6500 whY? does anyone know why? i know vtec kicks in because the engine sounds different now since i put on the p13 ecu. could it be the ecu problem? you think if i chip it? with spoonchip on p13? hitting vtec 4-8k rpm? hm i dont know what can i do to fix it?
Thats the safety catch.....I have only seen this activate when the car is not moving or its too cold for VTEC......It acts just like a Launch Rev Limiter until the car is warm or moving.

noo.. the car was not cold when i did this because that is weird it only pops vtec till 6.5rpm and it stops from there im thinking its the ecu or wiring because the ecu controls the rpm limiter.
yeah i drove a friends 98 prelude and for some reason his did that SOMETIMES when u would smack into it... he said the same thing.. it has something to do with it being cold??
funny thing is so was my friends... it was weird it would only do it SOMETIMES likelike he was driveing it then let me drive it.. and when i went to get into it(the car never turned off or nothing.. 6500 it fell on its face) and that was frist gear.. then second gear went to 7800 i think it was.. but HE said it was the ecu b.c of the temp.. not me. so easy it down killer

i remember the first time when i floor it vtec poped and the 2nd time it did not pop vtec and i redline it 6500 and check engine light turns on but turn off the engine turn it back on its gone.. wells not when i redline it check engine light does not come on. im thinking i need a tune up? mayb change the o2 sensors?
