can you put an ls head gasket on a ls vtec or do u have 2 get one of those mls cosmetic gaskets?

 

i think you can modify an oem gasket to work or use a cometic. search.

 

I used an oem ls headgasket in my build.

 

i thought ur not suppose 2 mess with the gasket ?

 

IMO I'd use cometic hg. Because its made for the LSv setup. Less chance of it to leak. Dont forget to use copperspray and ARP GSR headbolts.

Cometic MLS hg is better than your OEM hg, IMO. I have used them on my previous LSV turbo setup. It held up good. 450whp.

Copperspray helps the headgasket stick to the head and the block. And keeps it sealed. You can find it at Autozone or Advanced Autoparts at the gasket maker section.

i was looking at ls vtec coversion and for the vtec conversions they used girdles on the underside it said that that it helps under hi rpms... i was wondering if i would need that for my vtec conversion?
