Default cometic head gaskets

Hey i have a question about my build im putting together. I need to buy a headgasket to finish my turbo build and will be using a cometic overside gasket. I have a LS head with a GSR block. should i use a headgasket meant for a gsr or an LS?

I always pondered in my head what an LS head would do on a vtec block. What does it do. Its the total opposite of the lsvtec so please explain. Does it just accomplish a different rod/stroke?

yes, accomplishes a different stoke and compression ratio. it slightly lowers the compression ratio so that i can run a moderate level of boost with only adding a thicker headgasket but still have the GSRs better lubrication. makes for a nice cheap turbo setup.

That does not make sense...Why not run a vtec head and make the power you want with less boost? Do you want more "boost" or more POWER?

I read right over that too.A gsr block doesn't have any real world advantage over a ls block once you bolt a ls on it.The rocker arms limit the rpms so as to not take advantage of the benefits of the gsr lower end.If I had a gsr block I would use a vtec head.If I had a ls head I would use a ls block. But that's just what I would do.

IF you haven't had any bad experiences with it, you shouldn't say anything. Your comment is from hear-say.
I make over 800WHP and run 40+PSI and have had no problems. All the cars I build run Cometics and no problems as well. I've been using Cometic for years.

how are u going to put a ls head on a vtec block the vtec block has extra oil holes for vtec thats why when you do a ls/vtec you have to tap the vtec head The Ls does not have a Vtec oil passage

yeah im gonna have to ask you to go ahead and gtfo of your own thread with that attitude, you should be happy were not flaming the hell out of you with your retarted idea of your reverse ls/vtec. nobody knows the answer cause nobody has done what your doing cause its plain retarted, have a nice day with your funny engine combination... all this for better oiling, how lame, i know people revving LS blocks to 8500rpm+ with stock internals and boosting!
