im trying to find a badass black i want something that will really pop. i seen a couple paint chips online but doesnt really show off the candy effect.

Does anyone have anything painted with candy black or pictures of something painted candy black. i googled it but came up with a couple bikes with crappy camera's that doesnt show off any of the detail.

I don't have any pictures, nor have I seen any myself. A lot of those kandy colors like that black and such are used in airbrushing graphics, for shadows and such.

One thing you should know about Black Kandy, is that most of the manufacturers that make black kandy, it's not 100 percent real true black, it's actually very very very dark red. So if you thin it out too much, you'll get a red shade to it. The only manufacturer that I know of that doesn't use red, is Alsa, they have a kandy black paint which is a purple base. And I've heard airbrushers say that it's better then the red.

Just keep that in mind.

It's a silver crystal pearl base with blood red kandy.

The best part is that you can do this with any color of kandy. of course adding black kandy to make it a deeper color.

 

damn i wanted that Super deep black with that candy effect to it. i could live with a black that is deep but still has a hint of purple to it.

Well what is it you want? You want a deep deep black, but the "candy" part seems like it would have to flake a type of color. Subaru has a Java Black pearl color that's really nice...

I don't know everything about paint, but the candy paints I've seen are always a tinted clear over a gold or silver metal flake base, then cleared again. Maybe try maybe try a silver flake paint, clear over with a really tinted, almost black, clear coat, then clear over that?
