Default hard to get into 1st

my car is kinda hard to get into 1st gear sometimes like at red lights or anytime the car is stopped mostly it doesnt happen all the time but most of the time and my clutch fluid is full and clutch is about 80% life, could slave cylinder have anything to do with this?

Your clutch m/c could be leaking internally or you could have air in the line. Those are two educated guesses based on the information given. Next time you try to put it into first, try stepping on the cluch 3 times with moderate speed, then engage first. Let us know what happens.

You have an adjustment at the end of the cable. Adjust it until the cluch starts to engage about a half an inch off the floor.

could be in the transmission as well.. Will it go in if you let the clutch out in neutral then try first?

its more then likely the kind of transmission oil you use. I swtiched from standard 10w-30 to honda tranny fuild and its much easier to get into 1st expecially while cold.
