Default few q's on viper 791xv install without remote start on a 5spd, 96 civic

Car: 1996 honda civic cx 5spd
Alarm: Viper 791xv without remote start

first off this section has been a major help. my girlfriend's stock integra was stolen straight out the driveway. they stole her stock car instead of my heavily modded 96 hatch. So long story short, I got scared and finally decided to get an stealth alarm. I cant thank you guys enough for all of your contributions! I have learn so much and without you guys, i would be clueness and never would have attempted to install an alarm! or would have paid $$$ for someone at bestbuy do a worthless basic install.

But yeah, im finshing up all my preparation work and still have a few questions:

1) im hooking the car up without the remote start for safety reasons. I just wanted to clarify, I only have to hook up the pink wire to the ignition and the grey to the hood pin?

2) I am not going with the kill start (atleast not at the underdash harness), could I hook the purple and green wires to the fuel pump instead? would I need a relay or could i just splice it into the fuel pump wire?

3) what exactly are the high current 12v inputs (3,6,8)? my guess is they send power to the starter during the remote start. can i just depin these since im not installing the remote start?

4) what gauge is the siren and led wires? i read in the write up then you extend them with 22 gauge wire. but it seems to be smaller than 22 gauge. would it still be ok to extend it with the 22 guage?

thanks in advance!

2.) Using fuel pump is just fine, as long as you're using pink wire ignition instead of fuel pump as ignition source.

4.) I used 18 gauge to extend the siren wires, oversizing will be fine and may even flow a bit more with the stock wiring. If 22 is a bit 'larger' than the LED/siren wiring, it'll be alright.

Sorry, still clueless on 1 and 3, I have an entry-level alarm. Also, while I prefer to depin, some like to just cut and cap the wires in case they want to change later and don't want to re-pin things. #1 sounds correct.

If you are just installing the alarm portion of the 791 XV you do not need to install the relay satellite, or any of the wiring of the "heavy gauge inline connector key switch interface" for ign. input just use the yellow lead in the 7pin ribbon harness that connects the relay satellite to the main alarm brain, you can just depin the other 6 leads they are not needed.

Use the blue lead in the H1 harness, [multiplexed input, zone 4] for your hood and trunk/hatch.

The high current 12v inputs (3,6,8 are for remote start and are not needed and yes they supply power for acc., ign. and starter during remote start operation.

Yes you can use 22ga wire to extent both the siren and LED, the longer the extension is the thicker the extension lead(s) have to be. 94

Install a hidden switch instead for the "fuel pump kill" and install the switch on the ground for the PGM-FI Main Relay instead, that will "kill" the fuel pump, fuel injectors, power to a few engine sensors and one of the powers to the ECU/ECM.

Bypassing a fuel pump kill is easy but will not help if the "kill" is on the PGM-FI Main Relay, car will still not start. 94
